About Scott

Scott Yurgalevicz grew up in Torrington, CT where he graduated from Oliver Wolcott High School as Valedictorian and later attended Villanova University. After college he started his golf career at Radnor Valley Country Club as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional. While there he developed a passion for teaching the game of golf.

After 3 years at RVCC he went on to start his own golf academy The Yur Golf Swing Teaching Academy located in Philadelphia. During his time running his own business he gave countless lessons and developed his craft as a detailed orientated instructor who understands the inner workings of the golf swing but conveys his information clearly and simply.

He later then moved onto GolfTEC Main Line where he was the Center Manager and Coach and taught over 2,000 lessons in 3 years. After GolfTEC, Scott accepted the position of golf professional at DuPont Country Club where he enjoyed 1 season before moving onto Chester Valley Golf Club in Malvern, PA, later moving onto LuLu Country Club, and finally landing at the world class Philadelphia Cricket Club.

Over the last 9 years he has had the pleasure of teaching many beginners, D1 college golfers, Local Club Champions, GAP Champions, 2 US Amateur participants, 1 US Senior Amateur participant, and 1 Canadian tour member. You can also find some of his numerous golf publications on and in Golf Tips Magazine. He is also the Director of Golf at Division 1 LaSalle University located in Philadelphia, PA

In the summer of 2018 Scott and his students had their most success including Chris Clauson winning a Senior Major Event in the GAP (Senior Am Championship), 2 Students Qualified for US Open Sectionals, and Michael Brown won a Major (Patterson Cup) and the prestigious Golf Association of Philadelphia Player of the Year Award.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his Wife, Angela, their four daughters Julia (7 years old) and Madison (6 years old), Emily (4 years old), and Abby (2 years old).
